Today’s Tip: The “Safe Road” is Closed: Take Another Route!

Too many job seekers are taking the safe road towards their future opportunities because they are afraid of doing something that will jeopardize a potential interview or job offer.

Sound like you?

This "walking on egg-shells" mentality is actually preventing you from being considered by recruiters and hiring managers. In today's market, recruiters see hundreds of look-alikes and this approach won't separate you from your competition.

What's the point of this post? Take calculated risks. To be the successful job seeker, you need to understand the Hiring Manager's pain points and address the ways to solve their problems.

But how do you get invited to the dance to show your talents in the first place? It's by taking those calculated risks. Does that mean you have your resume copied onto a cake and delivered to the place of employment? NO... unless you're applying to be a pastry chef; then it's a smart calculated risk.

In other words, make sure the risk is associated with the job opportunity or company so that it demonstrates a well thought out plan to impress your new employer!
